DayZ: Leave the Coast When You Have a Reason
DayZ coast is a tutorial with extra murder. Inland military is the real loot, but only if you can eat and drink on the walk.
Coastal towns are a PvP blender
Elektro and similar spawns are loud. Grab fruit, a melee, and a bag, then leave. Fresh spawns who stay become content for geared players.
Wells and pumps are ambush spots. Fill up and move. Do not cook a feast in the town square.
Inland is a logistics problem
You need calories before NWAF. A rifle does not help if you pass out in a field. Hunt, fish, or hit barns on the way.
Rain and cold kill slower than bullets and more often. Dry clothes are kit. DayZ is a survival game even when you want PvP.
Military is not a spawn
Tisy and airfields are endgame. Approach at odd hours with a friend watching. Solo hero runs work until they do not.
If you hear a shot, decide to leave. DayZ third parties walk toward gunfire like it is a dinner bell.
