Genshin Impact: Reaction Order Beats Raw Stats

Genshin Impact combat is timing, not only artifact numbers. The second element you apply decides whether a fight feels cheap or stuck.

Apply the slow aura first

Hydro or Cryo auras last. Apply them, then hit Pyro or Electro for Melt, Vaporize, or Electro-Charged. Reverse order often gives a weaker snapshot.

In the overworld, one clean Vaporize on a boss bar beats three unbuffed charged attacks. Watch the icon above the enemy, not only your burst animation.

Keep one character as the driver

Your on-field driver should be the one who actually hits after the aura is set. Swap spam without a driver wastes cooldown.

If a domain timer is tight, skip screenshot bursts. Two reactions on cooldown is enough for most weekly bosses if you do not miss the aura.

Exploration still uses the same rule

Climbing and puzzles often need a specific element, not your highest DPS carry. Keep a flexible fourth slot for Geo constructs or a bow user.

Stamina food and a bow for Anemo puzzles save more time than another five-star weapon you never swap to.
